Founded in 1959, in Middletown, New York, CRVI first operated as a summer camp and then as a private residential school for children with developmental disabilities. Today, CRVI programs and services serve more than 700 people with developmental and intellectual disabilities and their families, in three counties in New York’s Mid-Hudson and Catskill regions.
On May 18th, 2015, CRVI was recognized for achieving Quality Assurances Accreditation by CQL | The Council on Quality and Leadership. Accreditation by CQL involves a rigorous process of assessments, focus groups, and reviews utilizing important tools like Basic Assurances® and Personal Outcome Measures®.

“This accreditation reinforces that the people CRVI supports are at the center of the work that we do. Throughout the process we held focus groups with the people who use our services. We also involved them in the committee work and final presentations. This gave individuals active participation and input into the services they receive, demonstrating to evaluators how we provide services organizationally.” adds McGoldrick.
CRVI Achieves CQL Quality Assurances Accreditation
