About The Member Associations
The American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR) is a national, nonprofit trade association representing more than 1,600 private community providers of services to people with disabilities. The mission of ANCOR is to advance the ability of our members in supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to fully participate in their communities. Combined, they support over one million individuals with disabilities, and work to shape policy share solutions, and strengthen community.
The Arc New York
The Arc New York‘s mission is to advocate and provide support and services to people with intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities, emphasizing choice and community engagement. The Arc New York was founded in 1949 to serve a critical mission – to improve the quality of life for people with developmental and other disabilities. What started as a support group and day nursery for families coping with these disabilities has grown to become the largest nonprofit in New York State serving people with disabilities.
IARF is Illinois leading association of community-based providers serving children and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and serious mental illnesses. IARF has been the voice of human service organizations in government and has worked to provide agencies with individual consultation on issues that affect them specifically. IARF also commits itself to developing programs that return members’ investment of their dues with a purpose “to assist in the development and improvement of services in Illinois.”
