Building Connections Across The Globe

Australia

Starting in the mid-1990s, CQL began establishing partnerships across Australia. Over the years, a number of human service organizations in Australia have pursued accreditation and certification. We have also conducted training and participated in a variety of national conferences.

Canada

CQL has a long history in Canada. In the early 1990s, organizations participated in the original pilot for the Personal Outcome Measures® and the late 2000s, provided insight into the What Really Matters initiative. Today, numerous organizations in Canada are engaged in CQL services.

Ireland

CQL began its work in Ireland in 1997, as word about the Personal Outcome Measures® spread to Europe. Since then, we have collaborated with many agencies in the disability sector throughout Ireland and have seen the growing impact and influence of CQL’s measures and methods.

New Zealand

In August 2007, CQL started participating in the International Initiative For Disability Leadership (IIDL), a network of prominent voices in the field, including members from New Zealand. Currently, organizations in New Zealand continue to utilize CQL’s products and services.

Alabama

CQL developed training for human service organizations in Alabama, in partnership with the AL Department of Mental Health/Division Developmental Disabilities. The Alabama training modules are helping hundreds of providers enhance their supports.

Colorado

CQL has worked with the CO Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) on large-scale projects. In 2016, CQL held training across the state about the Personal Outcome Measures®. In 2018, CQL conducted focus groups to explore person-centered practices.

Illinois

The HCBS-ACT Project has equipped thousands in Illinois with guidance about the real-life impact of the HCBS Settings Final Rule. This project has involved workshops, trainings, video clips, resources, presentations, an advocacy mentorship program, and more.

Indiana

In 2008 and 2009, CQL, in partnership with Liberty Healthcare, Inc., implemented a quality improvement program based on the Personal Outcome Measures® and Basic Assurances® to assist the Bureau of Quality Improvement Services (BQIS) review waiver services.

Maryland

The State of Maryland, through the direction of the Maryland Department of Health’s Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA), is pursuing the achievement of Person-Centered Excellence Network Accreditation from CQL.

New York

In 2014, CQL entered into a contract with OPWDD. It involved training and certification in using CQL’s Personal Outcome Measures® and technical assistance around person-centered services, HCBS settings rule compliance, survey development, and other projects.

North Carolina

The North Carolina DHHS, Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Services (MH/DD/SA) requires national accreditation for organizations providing services in the state. CQL has been approved as an authorized accrediting body.

South Dakota

Since 2000, CQL has partnered with the SD Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) to assist the state in evaluating provider policies, practices, and outcomes. Currently, DDD requires all providers to achieve and maintain CQL accreditation to provide services.

Tennessee

The Tennessee Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (DIDD) officially began its journey with CQL in 2012. Since this partnership began, TN DIDD has successfully achieved two terms of CQL Person-Centered Excellence Network Accreditation.
