Complete Redesign Coming To CQL’s PORTAL Data System

CQL | The Council on Quality and Leadership is excited to announce an extensive upgrade of the PORTAL Data System. Through an intuitive design, simplified menu structure, and brand new capabilities, users will be able to collect, access, and analyze data like never before. The fully revamped PORTAL Data System will launch live on October 5, 2020.

PORTAL incorporates data from CQL’s internationally-recognized tools, the Personal Outcome Measures® and Basic Assurances®. It is used to gather and evaluate data about personal outcomes and agency supports at the individual, organizational, and national level across hundreds of different data elements. From individual person-centered plans to agency strategic plans, PORTAL assists organizations in making sound decisions to improve the quality of supports and quality of people’s lives.

“PORTAL has been entirely modernized through this new platform. Whether you are operating the system, running reports, or reviewing dashboards, it will be a brand new experience for those using PORTAL.”

Mary Kay Rizzolo, CQL President and CEO

The eligibility requirements to access PORTAL Data System remain exactly the same as the previous platform. Organizations that have engaged in CQL Certification or POM Workshops can purchase an annual subscription to PORTAL for $1,250. Organizations that have achieved CQL Accreditation will continue to receive complimentary access throughout their accreditation term.

PORTAL Data System Webinar

CQL will be hosting a tutorial webinar, co-presented by the platform developer MediSked, about the redesign of PORTAL on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm CT. This webinar will include a demonstration of the new system, information about the enhanced features, and details about the transition for current PORTAL users.

Transition Of Current PORTAL Users

CQL is working to ensure a smooth transition of users from the current platform to the new PORTAL Data System. Along with the general information listed below, CQL will also be distributing more detailed guidance to PORTAL users in the coming weeks.

Moving To The New PORTAL Platform

This transition process for PORTAL will begin on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. CT. All users will be able to access the new PORTAL Data System on Monday, October 5, 2020. During the transition process, users will be unable to access their accounts.

This transition process allows CQL and MediSked to transfer account data into the new platform. All survey data is being preserved and transferred into the new platform – no data will be lost during the process.

During the week of September 21, 2020, additional communications will be sent out to current PORTAL users about the transition process.

Accessing The New PORTAL Platform

When the new PORTAL Data System launches live on Monday, October 5, 2020, all users will receive emails about activating their accounts. Users will be prompted to update their login credentials following the first time they sign in to PORTAL.

Ongoing Support And Guidance

In addition to the introductory webinar session on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, CQL will be releasing multiple user guides, tutorial videos, and more, to support PORTAL users. As these materials are produced, they will be shared on the PORTAL webpage. Individualized technical assistance and support is also available if needed.
