CQL | The Council on Quality and Leadership is postponing its biennial conference until October 2022. The international event was originally planned for October 2021. This rescheduling is of course the result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the devastating impact on the human services field – especially those who receive supports.
“While we have a sense of optimism looking forward in light of the expansion of vaccinations, we certainly do not feel it would be sensible to host such a large-scale event this year,” says Mary Kay Rizzolo, CQL President and Chief Executive Officer. “We’re counting down the days until we can safely connect with all of our friends, colleagues, and partners again, in-person!”
CQL has been responsive to the changing circumstances since the onset of the pandemic, and will continue to adapt following any developments involving COVID-19. Tentatively, CQL will be releasing details about the 2022 CQL Conference later this year, including a ‘save-the-date’ with information about dates, times, location, and more. In early 2022, CQL is planning to open up registration, solicit proposals for conference presentations, share information about sponsorship and exhibiting, as well as promote nominations for the prestigious CQL ‘Awards of Excellence.’
