The Comprehensive Community Supports (CCS) program aligns perfectly with CQL’s Personal Outcome Measures®. One success story from Innovative Services, Inc. features Jennifer Delikowski, the manager of the CCS program in Central Wisconsin, and Robert.
Robert first had to make the deliberate choice to receive services, which was a very difficult decision for him. He was hesitant to begin services as he didn’t want people in his home, partially due to his anxiety.
Yet he made the decision to accept services because of several other Personal Outcome Measures®: People choose where and with whom they live, People choose personal goals, and People realize personal goals. Robert wanted to move to a different residence, set the goal of preparing to move and worked hard to make progress toward that goal.
Jennifer developed a relationship with Robert, so he was comfortable receiving services and support from her. Due to Robert’s large amount of personal belongings, moving preparations were not a simple feat. Jennifer worked with Robert toward his goal with the utmost patience and respect. Jennifer validated Robert’s feelings and assisted him in reaching his goal in his time frame.
Robert’s success, with Jennifer’s support, allowed Robert to be in a position to live where he chooses. Once he moves to his new home, Robert wants to continue with services to reach additional personally defined goals.
“It’s quite the story,” said Cindy Nelson, the District Manager who oversees the CCS program. Robert has already met multiple goals that align with CQL’s Personal Outcome Measures®, and he’s only just beginning his journey. He is a true example of Innovative Services, Inc.’s motto, “In Every Person…A Possibility.”
