CQL | The Council on Quality and Leadership is looking for a driven and creative Communications Specialist. In this full-time, entry-level position, the Communications Specialist will produce compelling written and visual communications for the organization across a variety of mediums.

Description Of Position
The Communications Specialist will carry out CQL’s marketing strategies through the development and dissemination of engaging content for both internal and external audiences. This entry-level position will be responsible for writing articles, designing administrative and marketing deliverables, editing various materials, producing email campaigns, creating social media posts, and more. The Communications Specialist works under the guidance and supervision of CQL’s Director of Marketing.
Responsibilities
- Write articles, press releases, newsletters, etc.
- Design flyers, brochures, signage, infographics, reports, manuals, and other materials
- Publish and update content on CQL’s website
- Create social media posts and monitor engagement
- Assist in the planning and execution of CQL webinars, conferences, training, etc.
- Produce PowerPoint presentations in coordination with other CQL staff
- Contribute to the development of CQL’s annual marketing plan
- Coordinate CQL sponsorship/exhibiting activities for external conferences and events
- Facilitate packing and shipping of administrative and marketing materials
- Provide administrative support for CQL’s marketing efforts
- Provide marketing and communications support for CQL staff
- Fulfill other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or relevant field
- Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, non-verbal, etc.
- Excellent copywriting, proofreading, and editing skills
- Experience with graphic design software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.)
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 suite (Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Highly organized with exceptional time and task management skills
- Ability to work under tight timeframes and meet deadlines
- Alignment with CQL’s mission, vision, and values

Working At CQL
Salary
While the exact salary will be determined by the applicant’s specific qualifications and skills, the general salary range for this position is between $35,000 – $45,000.

Standard Work Hours
Specific work schedule and hours are determined by the time zone of the employee’s location. Some work outside of typical business hours will be required. Hours may vary during travel time, when applicable.
Working Conditions
CQL is a fully virtual organization. Work will be conducted from the employee’s home. Some travel may be required.
