Description Of Position
The Part-Time Quality Enhancement Specialist (QES) works under the direction of the Vice President of Systems Transformation and the Vice President of Accreditation. This position is multi-faceted and requires the ability to effectively deliver all CQL core services. Core services include, but are not limited to, leading accreditation activities, serving as an accreditation team member, conducting Personal Outcome Measures® interviews, training, and certification activities, as well as other training and consultation services. This Part-Time QES staff position would require a commitment to be available to work an average of at least 5 days per month, which may or may not be consecutive.
Duties and Responsibilities
Accreditation
- Effectively apply CQL Accreditation standards to a wide variety of organizations, ranging from small to large and encompassing an array of human services and supports.
- Lead all accreditation options including Systems Accreditation, Quality Assurances Accreditation, Person-Centered Excellence Accreditation, and Person-Centered Excellence Accreditation, With Distinction.
- Coordinate all pre-planning activities for organizations pursuing CQL Accreditation.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the planning, development, and provision of accreditation services.
- Lead all onsite activities required for accreditation.
- Provide mentoring, training, feedback, and coaching to accreditation team members as needed and requested.
- Complete all follow up activities in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in the development of new tools and resources to support ongoing quality enhancement through CQL Accreditation.
- Assist with administrative follow-up assignments related to accreditation activities as needed and assigned.
- Represent CQL at conferences and meetings to promote accreditation offerings as needed and assigned.
Training
- Reliably conduct Personal Outcome Measures® Interviews
- Deliver CQL’s Personal Outcome Measures® Workshop (adult, children and youth) to a wide range of customers.
- Coordinate all pre-planning activities for organizations participating in CQL Training.
- Provide mentoring, training, feedback, and coaching to all CQL staff as needed and requested.
- Complete all follow up activities in a timely and accurate manner.
- Deliver additional CQL Training options as needed and assigned.
- Assist in the development of new trainings as needed and requested.
- Represent CQL at conferences and meetings to promote CQL as needed and assigned.
Certification
- Facilitate inter-rater reliability for candidates pursuing Interviewer and/or Trainer Certification in both measures of CQL Certification (adult and children and youth).
- Coordinate all pre-planning activities for those participating in CQL Certification.
- Provide mentoring, training, feedback, and coaching to CQL staff as assigned.
- Complete all follow-up activities in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience providing services to children, youth, adults, and older adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and psychiatric disabilities.
- Proven success and experience in implementing CQL’s Basic Assurances® and/or Personal Outcome Measures® required.
- Current CQL Certification status in the Adult and/or Children & Youth Personal Outcome Measures®
- Ability to perform effectively both independently and as a team member.
- Proficient use of technology (Microsoft Office 365 apps/services – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) required.
- Proficient use of virtual platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams required.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to engage in national and international travel.
- Demonstrated success in effectively leading diverse teams.
- Exceptional written and oral presentation skills to effectively communicate new ideas, concepts, and practices.
- Alignment with CQL mission, vision, and values.

Part-Time Staff Work Commitment
Looking for a Part-Time QES who can commit to be available to work an average of at least 5 days per month. Hours are widely variable.
Working Conditions
CQL is a fully virtual organization. Work, while not traveling, will be conducted from the employee’s home.
