October 9th, 2018
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

This 1-day dynamic seminar connects the dots between Appreciative Inquiry and Data Analysis. What are some successful initiatives at an organization? Where can improvement be made? How can those pockets of excellence be applied to areas where growth is needed? What data can an agency use in assessing these approaches? CQL will answer these questions by breaking down the seminar day, into two distinct yet interrelated parts.

The first half of the day covers Appreciative Inquiry (AI), which is about identifying possibilities instead of problems, focusing on strengths versus weaknesses, and transforming traditional criticisms into organizational innovation. We’ll share what AI is, why it’s important, and how it can be used by human service organizations to evolve from a deficit-driven outlook, to one that applies areas of success to areas of opportunity.

The second half of the day covers Data Analysis, and how it can be used to improve quality. As organizations replicate best practices through Appreciative Inquiry, how do they evaluate the success of these efforts? Attendees will learn how to understand and use data effectively so that they’re making informed decisions and being proactive in measuring results. CQL will detail specific data analysis approaches and reporting techniques that will take your quality management system to the next level.
