Effective planning is absolutely essential in the disability services sector, especially as provider organizations face uncertainty when it comes to staffing, funding, and resource allocation. However, agencies often struggle in identifying proven methods for developing plans, collecting data, evaluating progress, and enacting change.

In the ‘Planning Workshop: Using The Personal Outcome Measures® At Your Organization,’ attendees will explore how to create a strong system to support the use of the Personal Outcome Measures® (POM) for transforming personal and organizational plans.

Training Overview

  • Presented either in-person or virtually
  • Up to 30 participants

Attendees will work with the instructor to explore what the POM is and how it can be used it to direct, monitor, and improve your planning. We’ll detail tips, techniques, and action steps for identifying and obtaining POM interviews with people receiving services, as well as creating systems to incorporate results in person-centered planning. Then, participants will learn about using data from the POM to spark organizational change, launch new initiatives, and influence agency culture. The instructor will also share guidance for training and certifying organizational staff in the POM. In addition, this workshop will result in a real plan for your organization to pursue using the POM confidently across your agency.

Training Duration & Pricing

The cost for an organization to host this training is $3,700. If the training is being presented in-person, the organization is also responsible for travel and lodging costs. Organizations will be billed for these expenses in addition to the training cost. Prices are subject to change.
