Education involves gaining new knowledge.
Experience entails the situations we encounter.
Exposure includes the variety of those unique circumstances.
CQL frames this all under the Three E’s, which can provide a foundation for informed choice.
In looking at the food you eat, the hobbies you try out, or the people you interact with – whether you realize it or not – you’re using the Three E’s. You tap into education, experience, and exposure as you try new things, get out of your comfort zone, and navigate the world around you. Despite the importance of the Three E’s, people with disabilities who receive services often face significant external barriers in making the decisions that impact their lives.
During this training, you will find out how the Three E’s support informed choice in the lives of people receiving services.
